    This hand-made bowl, using the technique of incrustation with colored clays, has its origin in one of the most famous poems of Basho. It may be considered as an exception of the common rule, because it gives a combination of detailed picture and carved calligraphic inscription, reproducing the genuine brushwork by Basho.

    Some excess of narration on the outer side is balanced due to the inner surface of the bowl, absolutely without design, but obtaining with a complex composition of colors and shades the same sort of impression, as during more than three centuries makes on the poetry lovers this masterpiece of Basho.
