Here is a gallery of bowls created in the genre of E-UTA on haiku poems. In comparison with tanka haiku is rather young form of poetry - less than three centuries old. Haiku is laconic - only three lines /5-7-5/, but it isn't a shortened tanka. Haiku needs new fresh feeling, vivid contrasts, and besides all, in the small area of haiku any word aquire its particular value. Moreover, the underlying theme has an outstanding importance in the haiku poetry. All of this makes the work with haiku poems in E-UTA genre especially difficult and interesting. Less the poet say, more the responsibility of an artist.

    Captured with morning-glory.
The evening comes - I stand,
    Uncapable to move.
    Basho

    A threasher take his rest
    Beneath the morning-glories...
    A sorrowful world!
    Basho

    A dragonfly spin -
Fails on and on to grasp
    At supple stalks of grass.
    Basho

    A midsummer heat.
    Look, how the clouds wreath
    Above the Thunderstorm hill!
    Basho

    To my disciple
    Today you can feel yourself,
What does it mean - to be old:
    It's raining, the autumn mist...
    Basho

    The autumn moon
    Is drawing the pine-tree:
    Black ink on dark-blue sky.
    Runsatsy

The drops of dew are shining. However -
Keep in yor mind - they have
    Some sorrowful taste.
    Basho

    In an old garden
Though it's lost - in spring
    Wild flowers visit it
    In spite of desolation...
    Narutaki
